Fenerbahçe were founded in 1907 in Kadıköy, on the Asian shore of Istanbul, and are one of the three giants of Turkish football, with a league title count second only to Galatasaray’s. Their home is the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in Kadıköy, one of the most intimidating grounds in Europe, and their supporters are among the largest fan bases in the country.
The derby with Galatasaray across the Bosphorus is the biggest match in Turkey. Yellow and navy blue; known as the Yellow Canaries.
