Golalarm Privacy Policy
Golalarm provides live football scores, fixtures, match details, standings, lineups and statistics. This policy explains what information the Golalarm apps and website use.
Information we use
Score, fixture and competition data is read from our Firebase Realtime Database. The apps and the website do not require an account and we do not ask for your name, contacts, precise location, photos or payment information.
If you enable match notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging uses a device or browser notification token to deliver them. You can disable notifications at any time in your device or browser settings.
Favourites, pinned competitions, votes, the theme and notification preferences are stored locally on your device or in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us and are not used to identify you; clearing the app’s data or the site’s storage removes them.
How we use information
We use this information to provide scores, remember your preferences, deliver notifications you request and support the service through advertising. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and advertising
The website shows advertisements served by Google AdSense; the Android and iOS apps use Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners use cookies on the website, and advertising identifiers in the apps, to serve ads and to measure and protect them. Ads may be personalised on the basis of your visits to this and other sites and apps. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent through Google’s consent message before personalised ads are requested, and you can change that choice later from the privacy options link in the app or on the website.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in your Google ad settings, and learn how Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. The Golalarm website itself sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics service.
App analytics
The Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, for example which screens are opened, how often and for how long. It collects app usage events (which screens and match tabs you open, when you follow or unfollow a team, player, competition or match together with that item’s public football id, whether a search found results, and whether the app was opened from one of our notifications), a few settings (how many items you follow, whether notifications are on, the app language and whether you use the home-screen widget), the app version, the device model and operating system, the approximate country and a random app-instance identifier. It does not collect your name, contacts, precise location or what you type into search. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland analytics follows the choice you make in Google’s consent message: if you do not consent to storing information on your device, nothing is stored for analytics. You can change that choice from the privacy options in the app.
Third-party services
Golalarm uses Firebase services provided by Google for data hosting, optional push notifications, crash reports and, in the Android app, analytics. The Android app also uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to collect consent. These services may process device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver, measure and protect ads. Google processes information under its own privacy policy.
Children’s privacy
Golalarm is a general sports application and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the apps change. For privacy questions, contact us at gunebakan@gmail.com.
