Beşiktaş are the oldest of Istanbul’s big three, founded in 1903 in the district that gives them their name. The Black Eagles have won the Süper Lig more than fifteen times and play at Tüpraş Stadyumu on the shore of the Bosphorus, on the site of the old İnönü Stadium beside Dolmabahçe Palace.
Their Çarşı supporters’ group is famous for the atmosphere it creates, and the club’s matches against Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe complete the Istanbul derby triangle. Black and white.
