Kasımpaşa are one of Istanbul’s smaller clubs, founded in 1921 in the historic waterfront district of Kasımpaşa on the Golden Horn. They have been a steady Süper Lig presence since the late 2000s, playing in the intimate Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium, and are known for giving the city’s bigger clubs difficult afternoons.
