South America’s World Cup qualifiers are the hardest road to the finals: CONMEBOL’s ten nations play one another home and away in a single league of 18 matchdays spread across more than two years, with matches in every international window from the autumn after one World Cup to the autumn before the next.

For the 2026 World Cup the top six qualified directly and the seventh-placed team went to the intercontinental play-off tournament. The campaign is famous for its extremes — the altitude of La Paz and Quito, the heat of Barranquilla, the atmosphere of the Bombonera and the Maracanã — and for the fact that even Brazil and Argentina have to grind through it.

Golalarm covers every CONMEBOL qualifier with live scores, lineups and statistics, and the standings tab shows the full ten-team table.
